New York, New York – April 22, 2026Mantra Health, the digital mental health provider built exclusively to support student well-being and success across higher education, today announced its partnership with Pierce College in Washington state. This collaboration marks a significant expansion of Mantra Health’s presence in the Pacific Northwest, providing Pierce College’s 13,667 students with clinical mental health and wellness support.

Pierce College is a high-performing public community college district serving students across two campuses in Fort Steilacoom and Puyallup, as well as centers at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Recently recognized as a 2026 Leader College of Distinction, the institution serves as a critical gateway for students embarking on their higher education journeys.

Like many leading community colleges, Pierce College recognizes that mental health is a primary driver of success. However, with limited on-campus counseling resources serving thousands of students, the institution faced significant capacity constraints that created barriers to care. Pierce College sought a partner that could provide immediate capacity relief while also offering early intervention tools, like coaching and crisis support, to reach students before their needs escalate to more acute levels. For students who view Pierce College as their first step toward a four-year degree or a new career, maintaining well-being is essential to ensuring their transition to the next phase of life is successful.

To address these challenges, Mantra Health will provide all Pierce College students with virtual therapy across all 50 states, emotional wellness coaching and content, and 24/7 on-demand crisis support via video and phone through ConnectNow. This flexible, wraparound support is essential for Pierce College students, many of whom are first-generation learners, military-affiliated students, and working professionals who balance their coursework with work and/or family responsibilities.  Through the Mantra Collaboration Portal, Pierce College’s counseling staff will maintain full visibility into students’ care, enabling seamless collaboration with Mantra’s providers. The technology allows campus clinicians to refer students directly into clinical care, monitor progress, view clinical outcomes in real-time, and securely message Mantra providers, ensuring coordinated care and functioning as a true extension of Pierce College’s on-campus counseling services.

At Pierce College, our commitment is simple: every student should belong, advance, and thrive,” said Chancellor and CEO Julie White, PhD. “Belonging means students feel seen, valued, and connected to a community that honors who they are. Advancing means they have clear pathways, equitable access, and the support to persist with confidence. Thriving means they leave here prepared for what comes next. Our partnership with Mantra Health expands access to timely, culturally responsive mental health support, reinforcing an ecosystem of care that reduces barriers, affirms student identity, and helps students stay on their path to achieving their goals.”

“We are thrilled to support the mission of Pierce College, an institution that serves as a launchpad for student advancement,” said Matt Kennedy, CEO and Co-founder of Mantra Health. “Through our program with Pierce College, we’re delivering a robust continuum of care that intervenes early, is available 24/7/365, and has no wrong door, ensuring that mental health challenges never become a detour on a student’s path to graduation and beyond. We look forward to helping Pierce College students navigate their unique journeys with the mental health and wellness support they deserve.”
