Manchester, NH, Oct. 9, 2026 – Mantra Health, the digital mental health provider built exclusively to support student well-being and success across higher education has helped Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing non-profit online institutions, successfully connect 12,600+ students to mental health and wellness support through its partnership.

A private, nonprofit, accredited institution, SNHU serves more than 200,000 student learners worldwide offering roughly 200 undergraduate, graduate, certificate, and professional skills programs both online and on its 300-acre campus in Manchester, NH. The institution has built its reputation on expanding access to education through high-quality, workforce relevant learning experiences for traditional-aged students and working adults alike. With a majority of its students learning online and enrolled across all 50 states, SNHU needed a mental health partner capable of supporting non-traditional learners at scale.

Compared to the traditional student age of 22, SNHU’s Mantra Health users average at around 35, with more than 80% being 25 or older. SNHU’s Mantra Health users have also reported facing higher rates of food insecurity (62%) and sheltered homelessness (9%), among other basic needs, which Mantra Health is able to support through its Whole Campus Care model. The offerings, which include self-guided wellness courses, wellness and productivity coaching, peer mental health support, basic needs resources, virtual therapy, 24/7 on-demand crisis care, and an international crisis line, give students multiple entry points to care based on their schedules, circumstances, and geographic needs.

“What this first year showed us is that non-traditional learners need basic needs and mental health support that accommodates work schedules, family obligations, and the realities of day-to-day life,” said Matt Kennedy, CEO and Co-Founder, Mantra Health. “With the ongoing collaboration and guidance from SNHU, we’ve been able to evolve our offerings to ensure we’re successfully meeting the unique and evolving needs of this diverse student population.”

Since the partnership launched in July 2025:

  • 95.4% of students who used the Self Care program had a positive experience
  • Students in wellness coaching reported a 4.9/5 satisfaction rating
  • 85% of peer mental health users reported an improvement in their mental health
  • 87% of crisis call users indicated decreased distress post-intervention
  • 75% of therapy users reported improvement in Severe Depression
  • 61% of therapy users reported improvement in Severe Anxiety
  • Students users of basic needs support reported a total of $818,242 in total aggregate benefits

“At SNHU, supporting our students and helping them reach their goals is a top priority,” said Felix Pizzi, Assistant Vice President of Student Health and Well-Being at SNHU. “Over the past year, Mantra Health has been a collaborative and innovative partner. The Mantra Care Hub has become an important part of the mental health, basic needs and well-being support available to our students, complementing the care provided by our internal teams and expanding pathways to support. Our students expect an experience that meets their individual needs, and having additional flexible, accessible options helps us better support the whole student.”
